Since I’m off the mats for a week or two, I figured I’d take a moment to reflect on this past weekend’s amazing promotion ceremony at @sssvbjj.
So many well-deserved promotions—it was incredible to see everyone come together, support one another, and witness how far we’ve all come in our BJJ journeys.
For me personally, between competitions, knee surgery, and the roller coaster of my kids competing, BJJ has been a constant. Honestly, I can’t imagine what my life would be like without it—and I know it wouldn’t be this meaningful.
To all my teammates and friends who’ve trained with me, pushed me, and helped me grow—thank you. This promotion means a lot, and I’m grateful for every one of you.
To my amazing wife @catherinejosephhh—thank you for your endless support, especially when I’m barely able to walk. I love you.
And to my coaches @drujtsu and @luisredig—thank you for your patience, your guidance, and the time you’ve invested in helping me learn this “gentle art.” I truly appreciate everything you’ve done for me.
