Black Maternal Health Week (BMHW): held annually (4/11 - 4/17) to build awareness, activism, advocacy, and to promote and provide community driven solutions to improve upon black maternal health.
The focus is to reduce disparities, offer empowerment, reduce stress and bridge the gap in care through doulas and culturally safe resources.
I’m so grateful to be apart of and partnered with
@tsomnetwork ,through their framework S.O.U.L, that champions and is “on the ground” hands on 365 to combat and reduce the disparities of black mothers by offering access to care that would otherwise and unfortunately continue to fall to the wayside.
Click the link in bio to hear the discussion on the importance of movement between Dr. Rekishia McMillan I, and why it should be apart of ante and postpartum care for black mothers.
