House Vermin, 2025

"House Vermin" is a sentimental map of the past. Overseeing its construction is a figure placidly looking over their shoulder, and around which all other figures hover and interact with.
The figure's legs fail to enter the house, only visible through it. They want to
belong, but are rejected. Instead, it is the virus/semen-like elements expelled by
the red figure that successfully inhabit it, akin to vermin.
The house is almost left with just its outline, placing it closer to houses in
children's drawings, which confers it an innocence that contrasts with its cruelty.
Drawing a house has always been an element of simultanous comfort and discomfort. I tend to always draw them the same way, with a little door, windows and a chimney. There's something comforting about a house with a chimney; the smoke exhaled is a sign of presence.
