Dom Femiano | Magic

Leaving Vegas after a very magic-heavy stretch felt different this time.

I didn’t just come home with photos, show memories, and a suspicious number of cards in my bag.

I came home with notes.

After seeing Mac King with our Magic & Mystery School class — and getting to sit and talk with him afterward — plus Ghost Stories, The Conjurors, Late Night Magic, David Goldrake, and more live magic than is probably medically recommended, I realized I’m not watching the same way anymore.

I still love the fooling part. Obviously.

But now I’m watching pacing, character, silence, structure, audience management, and how performers let impossible moments breathe.

Biggest lesson?

I’m not just collecting tricks anymore.

I’m studying presence.

Deeply inspiring. Mildly inconvenient.

Still learning. Still taking notes.
