First and foremost you know I have to start by giving ALL the glory and honor to the highest and the mighty God I serve!!!
Throughout my time at TSU I kept coming back to this song and I could not understand why, but I believe now more than ever it’s because I needed the reminder that no matter how alone I felt through every season and every storm that with God I could and would overcome!
I’ve learned so many valuable life lessons at Texas Southern University that I will take with me every step of the way. I learned the value in self advocacy. I learned how to not only speak with conviction but to walk in it (shout out @texassoutherndebate !). I learned how to network and speak life to others and pour into my own cup. I learned the value of striving for excellence and achievement and developed a better work ethic. Thank you TSU for providing me with some of the best black educators I have been blessed to ever cross paths with.
To @tsudancecompany thank you! Coming in as shy as I was and leaving as outspoken as I am is due to the family I had coming in and leaving THE BIGGEST SHOUTOUT TO FALL 22!!! I owe a lot to you, especially my rookie sisters! We laughed, we cried, and we argued, but we always loved, that’s all I could ever ask for. FOREVER PUTTING IT ON THE FLOOR (ifykyk). To the classes that came after, I know it wasn’t easy coming into our energy, but y’all are so strong and resilient and truthfully are going to make amazing leaders. You all are capable of so much more than you know and I can’t stress it enough. I love yall the most❤️❤️
To my 75 E.P.O.E
Though the journey we share is short the impact is prominent. My mind will forever be blown by how amazing you all are.
Lastly, to my Sigma Pi Sisters…
I could cry thinking about everything we have endured together. They say that you become the people you hang around and I can only ever hope to grow to have Kaylee’s vibrance and grace, Trinity’s grit and hustle, Aaliyah’s unwavering faith in God through every situation, and Adaiah’s brilliance and radiance.
