I never saw myself becoming an all-secondhand girlie. But in the last few months, thrifting has gone from something I felt mostly squeamish about to something I love and can’t wait to do again ASAP.
The main thrift store in my hometown is a behemoth — and, in my opinion, kind of a mess? It’s SO chaotic. As a teen, my friends and I went there to find costumes for the high school music and themed dances, but I never bought my everyday clothes there. Even now, that specific store makes me feel claustrophobic, and I can’t stay long. I think it always made me assume I didn’t like secondhand shopping.
But I’ve started to find my spots — thrift stores organized by size, not color; consignment stores where everything feels practically new; resale apps where I can replace some of my favorite past-season items for cheap. Now, I honestly can’t remember the last time I bought something new, and absolutely never for full price.
It’s not for everyone, and hey, it might not always be for me. But for now, I’m having a lot of fun. 🛍️

Lifetime clothing thrifter. I can spot designer and cashmere at 50 paces. Hahahahaha. You look great. Love the red pants!

I've never been great at finding clothes secondhand, other than a few really standout pieces, but I've found purses and shoes and incredible household items. And as a mom now, the kids clothes and toys are what I look for most!

I love this for you! I’m an avid thrifter but there are still some stores in my city that I can’t go in because they give me the psychosomatic itchies 😬
