🦈 PART 2 🦈
FADER began with a simple question:
Can we reduce a shark’s ability to visually identify a person in the water?
Built on 12 years of shark deterrent research and 30 years of shark diving experience, FADER was developed around the concept of disrupting visual recognition through camouflage-inspired wetsuit patterns. 🩵🩶💚
Rather than attracting attention, FADER aims to help the wearer blend more naturally into their marine environment, reducing visual contrast and breaking up the human silhouette beneath the surface. 🌊
This is the story of the research, the testing and the man behind the idea.
We also want to thank our Senior Research Officer, Rob Carraro, who is stepping away for personal and family reasons. His contribution has been instrumental in bringing FADER to where it is today and we wish him and his family all the best. We hope to see him back in the future.
Follow the journey as we release a new segment every Monday. 👀🦈🔬
