I begged and prayed to the heavens that my first born child would be a boy. I was a 21 year-old law Sol about seven years deep into an eating disorder.
I couldn’t let go of my eating disorder and the fear hit me if I can’t do this for myself how in the hell am I going to raise a daughter?
I didn’t end up having a boy first, but my second born is another story entirely.
By the time I chosen to try for a second baby, I healed my relationship with food and my body. Am I eating disorder entirely this time I begged for a little girl.
I feel confident that I was going to be an amazing role model for her, and I’m proud to say that I absolutely am the work I’ve done proves I was born to be a girl mama.
My daughter will grow up:
💪🏼 wanting to be strong, not skinny
💪🏼 she’ll know her worth off the scale
💪🏼she’ll run free in tank tops and bathing suits
💪🏼 she’ll eat and move her body out of self-respect
She’s never gonna hear her mama talk about her bat wings, lower belly, fat diet GLP-1s, or weight loss.
My pain and suffering was worth the freedom that I am able to give to her. 🫀🩷
