We're feeling so grateful for the bond established this summer between Lawrence and Algeria - and now we have the chance to celebrate! Please join us for a community celebration on August 1 at 5 PM at @thegranada. This amazing event is organized by the Algerian Ladies of Kansas group. Here's a message from the organizers:

The people of Lawrence welcomed the Algerian community with open arms, incredible hospitality, and genuine kindness. They opened their city to us, celebrated alongside us, and made us feel truly at home.

To express our gratitude, I invite our Algerian community to come together and celebrate the beautiful friendship that has grown between Algeria and Lawrence. Let’s celebrate this special love story between our two communities by supporting Lawrence’s local businesses, enjoying this beautiful town, and showing our appreciation for everyone who made us feel so welcome.

Join us for an afternoon of fun, culture, and togetherness featuring beautiful music, delicious Algerian food, a traditional fashion show, face painting, inflatables for the kids, and much more! There will be something for everyone to enjoy as we celebrate friendship, unity, and gratitude.

Kindness deserves kindness in return. As Algerians, we never forget those who welcome us with respect, friendship, and love.
