That’s one of the key insights shared by RISE mentor Hannah Legg, Director of HER Engineering.
Having come through her own apprenticeship, Hannah understands what it feels like — the uncertainty, the pressure, and the need to prove yourself.
Skills take time. What stands out early is effort — showing up, asking questions and having a crack, even when you’re unsure.
She also highlights the importance of environment — having the right people around you who are willing to teach, support and hold standards.
