DO THE HARD THING, HERE’S WHY❤️🩹⬇️
Your bran will always find an excuse as to why you shouldn’t do the hard thing.
This is because as humans we are wired to seek comfort.
But comfort doesn’t always = happiness.
What is comfortable to us is simply what we are used to.
But what if I told you, you can change that - it’s not set in stone.
Now I’m not suggesting it’s always easy, or that this change will happen over night.
No - but what I am saying is you can challenge your idea of “normal” and then change it.
This then changes what you believe about yourself and what you believe you’re capable of.
It allows you to bring yourself closer to the version of you, you know you want to be.
Your higher self.
Yesterday I went for my first run in 5 weeks, after sustained another ankle sprain.
This set me back physically and mentally, so naturally when I thought of going for a run, what did my brain say?
It said no.
It said - I’d rather stay here where it’s comfortable.
It gave me all the excuses as to why I shouldn’t go.
But - I chose to ignore those thoughts, knowing that I am not my thoughts.
I am the consciousness behind them, therefore I can choose which thoughts I believe.
This is a powerful shift on your healing journey.
Once you realise, you are in control of what you allow yourself to believe - the game changes.
I taught myself by going for that run, that I can do hard things.
And you can too.
Next time, you feel resistance before doing something hard I want you to challenge yourself by doing it anyway.
This will change your life, your self image and how you show up.
This concept is very helpful for grievers because when we are grieving we are so hard on ourselves.
When actually now more than ever we need to be kind.
Use this mindset shit this weekend and let me know in the comments below how you get on⬇️
Looking forward to hearing from you🫂
As always,
Sending Love❤️
