I surfed that 1972 swell. The only problem was that I was out on the wrong tide. I was surfing on my kneeboard and was out for a couple hours. I kept getting just one big closeout after another. I got out, went home to take a shower, and went back to the point. The tide had changed, the waves were wrapping around the point, and were breaking perfectly. Damn, it was the only time I saw it break.

Surfed it one time years ago. Was not huge but it was peeling along the point real nice! Took a massive swell though if I remember right to even make it 3 or 4 on that side

Glad we got it in 2014 for a solid day—Hurricane Marie. 3x overhead at The Point & head-high on the calm side... Yewww!

Surfed the inside on a longboard in the late 60’s with Pedro cousins Annie & Russ near a pier. Thanks for sharing
