“Racing Coasters” Oil on canvas. 100cm x 80cm . I am returning to a favourite theme of the funfair and amusement rides, for one painting only. In this painting the intention is to place the viewer in the position of being in motion on a ride, whilst catching sight of other rides moving dynamically around them at speed. Whilst it is predominantly rooted in abstraction, there are strong elements of figuration to amplify the kinetic perspective.
