A not-so-tiny eulogy…

Yesterday we said goodbye to @deathbecomesher on Broadway but “she won’t go quietly, or be ignored”! Going out in my funeral best to watch our last audience standing O for nearly every number, and our cast, designers, crew, and staff hug and kiss and cry and then absolutely tear up the Lunt-Fontanne in their own respective ways… was magical.

What a thrill this whole journey has been. Being pulled to Chicago unexpectedly, getting to build an epic drag fight - complete with titty slap and beheading (shout out to @samgrew1 — we did it!!! #IYKYK), collaborating with some of the biggest talents and biggest hearts in the business… I am endlessly lucky to have been given the opportunity to slap (get it?) my name on this big beautiful baudy brash bodacious Broadway show. My endless thanks to @lowe.cunningham and @goldbergmarcia and @cgattelli (and team!) and @juliamat and @beherenoel for giving me your trust and space to play from the jump, to @kevinjzak and @jesserobbchoreography for getting my name in that room, to @meganhilty and @thejennifersimard and @christopher_sieber and @waryang and @neilhaskell for bringing honesty and humor and heart to the building of these fights from the ground up, to EVERY swing and replacement for yes and-ing that crazy choreo, to @ryworsing for being everything to me behind the scenes as a literal fight captain to the stars, and to every single person who has touched, slapped, punched, gargled, and grand jete-d through this show, both on stage and off… I am forever in awe of you all.

I do have to end this with an extra special thanks to @michellewilliams for being the first person to say hello to me when I landed at the Cadillac Palace Theater in Chicago, terrified but ready, who immediately made me feel like a beloved part of the company. I swear we’ll work together again, in a show where I can really get you fighting 😈
