That's a wrap on THE MAN I LOVE.
Fifty-three years ago on June 24th, 1973, thirty-two people died in the UpStairs Lounge fire, here in New Orleans.
For a long time, this city looked away from them. This film is my way of not looking away. It asks what happens to those left behind in the wake of a tragedy born of hate.
A labor of love, shot over two days in New Orleans, Louisiana - a small cast, a crew that gave everything, and a story that felt right to tell now, filmed in the very week the tragedy unfolded.
To everyone who stood on that set to tell this story, a love story at its core, I'm deeply grateful.
