THE CURSES WE CARRY is my 120,000-word adult romantasy debut that poses a gender-twist on the classic Beauty and the Beast tale, crossed with the folkloric longing and loss represented in Lord Huron’s concept album, Strange Trails. Fans of One Dark Window (Rachel Gillig), Quicksilver (Callie Hart), and For the Wolf (Hannah Whitten), will find intrigue in Riordan’s story.
I hold a doctorate in sociology, and have co-authored several research articles. As a sociologist and mother of three boys, I believe stories that encourage men to learn the impact and importance of processing and working through their emotions are especially relevant in our society today. THE CURSES WE CARRY aims to achieve this goal.
