*DIY FYI* comedy duos 4/5:
Selam Amare & Sabina Westrup! They sound like sisters but they could be mother and daughter. Ok not quite but Sabina is old enough to be Selam’s mother. And this is where the fun starts: multi-lingual, intergenerational, both have a passion for running. Speaking of running, poor Selam thinks she’s running out of time to find herself a husband but according to Sabina, settling down is VERY overrated. She has learnt the hard way.
Come see them on 5th July at Piehouse co-op in Deptford. Event details in my bio and @diy_fyi. I love these two and so excited to see them. Come for comedy and stay for live jazz and DJ sets afterwards.
Selam is an Ethiopian comedian and TimeOUT x Nando’s Extra Hot Comedy Club Competition winner sharing hilarious UK life stories.
Sabina is a writer, actor, and stand-up comedian and winner of a BBC Writersroom competition.
