Created by Designworks in collaboration with BMW Manufacturing in Spartanburg, the new X sculpture marks both a milestone and a continuation of a story our California studio has been part of for nearly three decades.
Unveiled during the world premiere of the all-new BMW X5, the permanent installation celebrates the people, technology and landscape that define the home of BMW X in the United States, translating the dynamic language of BMW X into a lasting brand monument.
Following the studio’s role in shaping the original BMW X5 and helping establish the Sports Activity Vehicle, the sculpture continues Designworks’ contribution to the evolving BMW X story through an experience that extends beyond the vehicle itself.
