Latest collage “I don’t know what it meant” (14 1/2” x 14 1/2”) is pieced together entirely from torn or cut pieces of the summer, 1954 issue of Gentry Magazine, a short-lived but lovingly-styled quarterly men’s magazine that existed for six years before going kaput in 1957. As with all these collages, it’s my attempt to rescue and recontextualize memorable images from out-of-print sources before they disappear entirely.
