Can I be really honest?

I nearly didn’t post these no makeup photos taken straight after a run (especially the chin one 🙈😂)

When I scroll social media, I rarely see women who look like me. Women in their late 40s (very late actually 😜) Women navigating menopause. Women whose bodies have changed. Women who are trying to get fitter, but who don’t wake up with flat stomachs and perfect gym leggings.

Most days I pick myself apart.

I see the weight I’ve gained.
The cellulite.
The tummy.
The bits that never used to wobble.

And if I’m honest, sometimes I wonder if I should wait until I’ve lost a stone before I show up on here.

But then I think…

How many other women are waiting too and holding back?

Our bodies have carried us through decades.
They’ve worked hard.
They’ve raised children, built businesses, supported families, survived stressful times and kept going 💪

Menopause can completely change how you feel about yourself, and some days you don’t even recognise the woman looking back at you in the mirror.

The thing is… I’m still working on myself.

I’m exercising.
I’m trying to eat better.
I want to feel fitter, stronger and healthier.

But I don’t want to hide until I get there.

So these photos are me, exactly as I am today - showing up for others.

If you see yourself in them, I hope you know you’re not the only one.

You don’t have to love every part of yourself every day.

But you do deserve to take up space, laugh, wear the clothes, go on holiday, have your photo taken and live your life while you’re working on becoming the healthiest version of you.

If this resonates with you, I’d genuinely love to know ❤️
Let’s be kind to ourselves and support each other.

This is exactly how I feel but with the stress and madness of family life and running a small business, I never seem to find the time to start a regular routine of exercise xx

I've been thrown into a medically induced menopause and it's brutal! I hate it. I don't recognize who I am anymore. But I'm grateful to be here ❤️

Exactly the same Amy! Im on my ‘making me happier’ era. My journey started 3 weeks ago and still going strong…which I’m proud about because I do 7-10 days and give up. I don’t know if I’ll give up again but for now I’m enjoying the journey. I now realise I’m not going to be a size 8 like I was 30 years ago, what important to me now is a happier and healthier version of who I am now xxxx

I’m with u Amy - had this same thought this wknd of whilst I’m trying to regain some fitness & shape too… I just need to embrace my body & dress with pride rather than hiding away or always feeling dissatisfied in myself life’s too short right … & the hormones can do one & not define me 😘 thanks for sharing x
