Story time: A million years ago, I earned a literature degree with honors at Harvard. It's where I studied Shakespearean lit under scholar Marjorie Garber, and Shakespearean acting under Yale Repertory Theatre co-founder Jeremy Geidt; my dabbles in scholarship included a junior essay regarding youth in utopian fiction, with The Tempest as an underpinning. My giant Riverside Shakespeare remains a treasured item in my library, and it's been such an honor any time @shakespeare.approves would throw me into one of his 30-minute Shakespearean plays.
And, to bring this even more full circle: My first time acting on stage was my high school's production of The Taming of the Shrew, and Friday I will perform a song from the musical Kiss Me Kate. It's fun to dig into the crates after all this time. Come see how it goes!
