![I feel a lot. I feel a lot of emotions. I feel a lot when Iβm critiqued online. I read the comments.
I know when someone thinks badly about me and sometimes itβs get to me.
I grew up like every little girl did which was hating her body and now Iβm trying to become a woman who loves itβ¦ and itβs not easy.
Teaching self-love is really difficult because itβs not always complementing yourself. Itβs knowing yourself, spending time with yourself, being intimate with yourself, and then loving whatever version shows up.
And it takes time.
And itβs not easy.
But I think itβs worth it.

We all have in us the ability to fall in love with ourselves and that doesnβt mean we stop finding parts that weβd like to change, or that disappoint us. A parent can be disappointed in their childβs actions but still love them as a person. A human can still grow even if they show themselves ultimate kindness.
Itβs a processβ¦ and I donβt have the answers on how to do it exactly. Thatβs why I was nervous to be apart of this self love campaign. How can a woman who still beats herself up for how she looks or dresses or for the things she says stand on a literal pedestal and talk about self love?
So the script changedβ I didnβt βteach self-loveβ like what was discussed. I spoke about how difficult is to.
I didnβt say βI loved my body.β I said Iβm trying.
I didnβt say βI achievedβ self love. I said Iβm striving.
All we can do is know ourselves, spend time with ourselves, be intimate with ourselves, and love whatever version shows up. And love it imperfectly.
Try saying βI love my mind, body, and soul, exactly as it isβ¦ right now.
Thatβs the first step to self-love.](https://s3.imginn.com/848677235_18643662262028427_6994436499865570480_n.jpg?t51.82787-15/848677235_18643662262028427_6994436499865570480_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_e15_p480x480_tt6&_nc_cat=108&ig_cache_key=NDAwODQ1NDczNzc5NzI3MzY5NTE4NjQzNjYyMjU5MDI4NDI3.3-ccb7-5&ccb=7-5&_nc_sid=58cdad&efg=eyJ2ZW5jb2RlX3RhZyI6IkNMSVBTLnhwaWRzLjcyMC5zZHIudmlkZW9fZGVmYXVsdF9jb3Zlcl9mcmFtZS5DMyJ9&_nc_ohc=gmVQgdXpux0Q7kNvwHS4CFA&_nc_oc=AdquHZb20Weann67AwW0Mlssq_9J78_RJYgG2Me5TE0DnAIdC22C_y8a_74qEXG8jRbc04oMp4kwjIP0yNKRqxrz&_nc_zt=23&_nc_ht=scontent-lga3-3.cdninstagram.com&_nc_gid=1VCT3bvR24JXulIbVQ2m0Q&_nc_ss=70689&oh=00_AQO6Vd_Qc77u3yGEQaukmlrc24MSSc_WRWNHAyi9BOQlbA&oe=6AD7088E)
