3 days agoI organize the van for me on company time, and that's not an entitled opinion.
4 days agoIt's called curb appeal, or not more Customer see the inside of your van specially, the front seat and dashboard and you think now they take that impression and some of them tie to how good of a technician you are. Clean and organize allow faster servicing. More calls , happier tech because he can fine that elusive 25/7.5 or 50/3 cap that's always missing lol
4 days agoI am very meticulous and organized in my van. Never understood how people operate otherwise. If you just stay organized it should always be billed out. Why would you ever need to organize it after hours? There’s a place for everything and everything is in its place.
12 days agoMy favorite saying is the way you do anything is the way you do everything.
13 days agoI always try to put everything back where I get it from, but majority of the time definitely organizing on my own time. Makes things much easier when you’re looking for specific things later on 😂
14 days agoI always relate it to my time as a diesel technician in the aviation side of the Navy, every tool has a home. Then, it was for safety but it instilled good habits and organization. It’s a very rewarding feeling when a homeowner happens to look in your van and say “Wow, you’re very organized”. I agree working for a company but treating your customers as your own goes a long way, treat them like you would your own family, that energy is 99% of the time recognized and appreciated, earning the homeowners trust and continued business, helping you as the tech and your company. Neighbors talk, getting a referral from a satisfied homeowner to a new homeowner brings expectations but also inferred trust.
14 days ago💯. This is what I say to customers who I have to deal with as a supervisor on the field who automatically think I’m there just to defend the company or a technician they may had a bad experience with and disappointment due to expectations that ultimately were not met. I’m OCD’ish about my truck organization, but I’m no saint about keeping tidy.
14 days agoI think we run calls trying to make the schedule. Take a minute after the call to put things up correctly. Bill the customer for that time. Just remember to keep your next clients up to speed. Keep trash bags on the truck too.
14 days agoI do it for me so I know where my stuff’s at! Makes my day go by much better! I’ll be right back. I need to go clean my truck!🤘😂
14 days agoI get adhd when it comes to my truck organizing my truck as much as possible I’d say also helps with memory. I can tell my helper even to the smallest part I put in a special place where everything is at. Or in a pinch and need a part I haven’t touched in quite awhile I know where it’s at instead of buying another one
