Some coaches teach the game. The very best teach the people playing it.
Congratulations to Coach Joe LaTorre of Ocean City High School on being named the USA Lacrosse South Jersey 2026 Coach of the Year! 🥍
Anyone who has spent even a few minutes around Coach LaTorre knows this honor isn’t just about wins, game plans, or championships. It’s about the way he invests in his players, believes in them before they believe in themselves, and somehow finds the perfect balance of pushing them to be better while making them feel like they belong.
He’s the kind of coach every parent hopes their child gets to play for, and every player remembers long after the final whistle.
Presented by USA Lacrosse, this prestigious award recognizes high school head coaches who exemplify the ideals of the game through outstanding leadership, sportsmanship, and meaningful contributions to their players, program, and the sport of lacrosse.
Congratulations, Coach. South Jersey & OCHS are lucky to have you!
