Hidden on the southern edge of San Diego is the '905' or 'The Pits' — one of the city’s last pockets of raw backcountry. Once wide-open Otay Mesa ranchland and a longtime playground for dirt bikers, 4x4, and SxS these trails offer rocky climbs, dusty washes, and sweeping views toward San Diego and Mexico. The 905 is a reminder that adventure is still hiding in San Diego’s backyard.

⚠️ Access changes often and people do get tickets here. Respect closures, stay on legal routes, and please don't leave any trash.
