Props in Pilates are so much more than something to make a reel look interesting. ✨
There’s been a lot of conversation about instructors using props “just for show,” and I think it’s worth remembering that not everything we post on Instagram is meant to be instructional.
When I use a prop, there’s always a reason. It might be to provide assistance, add resistance, improve alignment, increase body awareness, or simply challenge myself in a different way. Props are incredibly versatile, and they can change the experience of an exercise in so many positive ways.
That said, not every post is a tutorial. Sometimes I’m sharing movement, creativity, or simply having fun. Social media is a place to connect and inspire—it doesn’t always have to be a full lesson.
So yes, I’ll keep using my props with intention... and I’ll also keep enjoying the process. 🤍
