Live like you’re dying 🤸🏽♀️✨
My teacher @yogi_alex_hya once said something that stayed with me “Sometimes we forget that we will die, and we live as if we have forever.”
Remembering that life is finite isn’t meant to make us afraid, it reminds us to become fully present and enjoy every single moment.
⭐️Don’t wait until you feel ready to start.
⭐️Don’t save your favorite outfit for a “special” occasion.
⭐️Don’t wait for life to surprise you, surprise yourself.
⭐️Tell people you love them while you can.
⭐️Spend more time collecting moments and memories than things.
Our time, our energy and our attention are our most valuable resources. Spend them on what truly matters🫶🏼

I know when someone thinks badly about me and sometimes it’s get to me.
I grew up like every little girl did which was hating her body and now I’m trying to become a woman who loves it… and it’s not easy.
Teaching self-love is really difficult because it’s not always complementing yourself. It’s knowing yourself, spending time with yourself, being intimate with yourself, and then loving whatever version shows up.
And it takes time.
And it’s not easy.
But I think it’s worth it.

We all have in us the ability to fall in love with ourselves and that doesn’t mean we stop finding parts that we’d like to change, or that disappoint us. A parent can be disappointed in their child’s actions but still love them as a person. A human can still grow even if they show themselves ultimate kindness.
It’s a process… and I don’t have the answers on how to do it exactly. That’s why I was nervous to be apart of this self love campaign. How can a woman who still beats herself up for how she looks or dresses or for the things she says stand on a literal pedestal and talk about self love?
So the script changed— I didn’t “teach self-love” like what was discussed. I spoke about how difficult it is to.
I didn’t say “I loved my body.” I said I’m trying.
I didn’t say “I achieved” self love. I said I’m striving.
All we can do is know ourselves, spend time with ourselves, be intimate with ourselves, and love whatever version shows up. And love it imperfectly.
Try saying “I love my mind, body, and soul, exactly as it is… right now.
