Appleby Golf Club.

I have been wanting to visit Appleby for a long time after hearing great things for a while. recently entering official top 100 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 ranking at 94 and the budget friendly green fee made me finally bite the bullet and book.

This course is great, links style reveted pot bunkers in the hills of Cumbria, blind shots, sheep grazing, dry stone walls and obviously the views all add to the character of this course.

Its a par 68 and currently has no par 5's. I loved the 4th which is a downhill short par 3 with amazing views but the 15th stole the show and now is really in the running for the best par 3 I have played (9th at St annes old links and the 13th at Hollinwell make it a hard choice though) but a bilnd shot over a river & a rivene to a sunken "bathtub" green with another reveted bunker is simply stunning 😍 hole.

This course is one of the most fun I have played and while its 94 in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 it really is a must visit in my opinion.

I paid £65 for a weekend morning tee time and I think you struggle to find something as good for this money in the north of England.
