It's beautiful there. We were there last week. After I heard our third siren, I asked a volunteer how often someone gets hurt and has to be taken to the hospital (in this case airlifted), and he said, "4 or 5 times every Wednesday" (which is when it's open only to bikers and pedestrians). It feels as dangerous as it is.

Loved visiting Cades Cove and the Smokies in the 50s. Just hate how touristy it has been since the 80s and all the building in the mtns outside the park that has destroyed so much habitat.

There are bears definitely hanging out on Hyatt on where you filmed either grazing, eating late blackberries or up in cherry trees There have been regular burns being conducted which has really helped. So much more bergamot and passiflora now 😍Compass asters and thistle are coming nicely too with the rain this year. Other areas that are showy are around Elijah Oliver trailhead and road Abrams Falls Trailhead

You are in my neck of the woods! I just wanted to say thank you for all of your inspiration and information! I have been following you for several years and last year we began our three acre Native wildflower and pollinator planting. May and Junes blooms were glorious and now I'm so excitedly waiting for the fall blooms to start. I also just wanted to tell you that I've had so many DM's where people have mentioned you and your reels and that it has inspired them to do the same thing! You are making a difference! Thank you and keep up the good work.

Cades Cove is one of the few places in Tennessee to have Henslow’s Sparrows still on territory! I’m not sure if they were there this year but I’m hoping to eventually see them there!

The amount of mammals, insects, snakes, even birds that are out there using the habitat surely is just 👌 Diverse ground cover = diverse wildlife!
