Had the pleasure to score this dynamic, vivid and elegantly condensed film that won a competition and is screening at Film Noir au Canal in Montréal all summer.
Sara has impeccable attention to detail so we talked about hitting every crucial little beat - like the CCTV camera, the puddle splash, blowing cigarette smoke, the character reveals. A theme / identity for each character and location. A lot of “mickey mousing” in the middle. Swipe for more BTS >

Logic session 🤓 don’t be fooled, most of those are busses full of tracks
Wrote parts for sax quartet, flutes, clarinet, trumpets and flugelhorn. Yes sometimes the tempo needs to be 110.325
Also got my hands on a theremin for the first time - this instrument is troublesome to learn so as soon as I got a decent sound out of it I hit save and moved on with my life lol.
