On the 17th March, we met virtually for the first time.

Four months later, I stood at the back of your ceremony and watched the two of you get married.

Not to the wedding I had planned.

Not to the wedding anyone else had imagined.

To your wedding.

Every detail felt like a reflection of the two of you.

From the Sunday roast, to the handmade VHS place names, to Zanu proudly carrying the rings, nothing was there because it was a trend. It was there because it meant something.

My job was never to change your ideas.

It was to take everything you'd already dreamed up, hold all the moving parts, and quietly make sure it happened exactly as you'd imagined.

So while you were laughing with your favourite people, soaking up every moment and looking at each other with so much love...

...I was exactly where I wanted to be.
