18 days agoJesus did eat meat. As a first-century Jewish man living in Judea and Galilee, his diet would have aligned with traditional Jewish dietary laws (kosher) and the culinary culture of the time. Key details from the Gospels include: The Passover Lamb: As an observant Jew, Jesus participated in Passover celebrations, which traditionally centered around the consumption of roasted lamb (as recorded in the Synoptic Gospels, such as Luke 22:15). Consuming Fish: Fish was a staple of the diet around the Sea of Galilee. The Gospels record multiple instances of Jesus eating fish after his resurrection to prove he was physically present, such as eating broiled fish with his disciples by the shore (Luke 24:42–43 and John 21:9–13). He also participated in large communal meals involving fish, such as the feeding multitudes.
2 months agoThe Stoics argued that virtue comes from how we act, not what we eat. Many Buddhist traditions emphasize reducing suffering but also recognize the complexity of existence. The Bhagavad Gita reminds us that action is often unavoidable, what matters is the consciousness and intention with which we act. Across traditions, there is a recurring insight and that is Moral worth is measured more by how we treat living beings than by the label attached to our diet. There is no convincing evidence that eating plants directly makes a person morally superior. Compassion is demonstrated through behavior. History contains compassionate meat eaters. History also contains cruel vegetarians and vegans Food choices do not automatically determine character. Psychology, upbringing, culture, values, and conscious choices probably matter far more. would love for a world where compassion is uniform to humans and animals , in the right proportions and not to form identities … it will be amazing to see how we write and can write our vibrations every moment with our thoughts that we think and our actions across humanity and the living world … the cycle of life will continue … the first race to go will be humans …. because that’s where the destruction comes from… the earth will find a way like it has before to continue and move on 🙌
