В 1677-1679 г.г.на его территории был возведён каменный соборный храм.
Он стал самым высоким каменным сооружением в Верее.
В 1764 г реформы Екатерины II, упразднили монастырь, храм стал приходским.
Одной из святынь монастыря считается резное изображение святителя Николая.
