The hardest part of being a designer isn't the designing...

It's that every time I sit down to knit or embroider, I'm surrounded by projects I can't share... yet😂 it's a wonderful problem to have, but it also means I've been a little quieter around here.

So while we wait for the NEW, here's me dissolving the stabilizer from the Rose Bouquet stick & stitch. 💖💐💖

A man who lives in New York is telling the world he votes in Texas, at an address where he does not live, because his vote counts for more there. If the boast is true, that is not a clever trick. That is voting where you do not live, and voting where you do not live is illegal in every state in the union, including Texas. The law is not complicated, and it is not a technicality. You vote where you live. Your residence is where your life is, not where your parents keep a spare room and your mail piles up. If his bed, his job, and his days are in New York, then his parents’ Texas address is not his residence, no matter how much he wants the state to turn blue. Domicile is not a feeling and it is not a strategy. It is a fact, and facts have addresses. Wanting it does not make it legal. Posting it does not make it brave. It makes it evidence. This is why the rolls matter, and why the residency rules matter, and why proof of citizenship and clean voter lists are not suppression but sanity. Every cycle the same people laugh at the idea that anyone would game the system, and every cycle someone posts the game plan in public with emojis. Texas has two days to decide a Senate race by a point or two. A point or two is exactly the margin a borrowed address is built to steal. Check the rolls. Enforce the law. The boast is already written down. All that is left is whether anyone does anything about it.
Halloween night in New York City is something else! 🎃🧟‍♂️ Tonight’s Village Halloween Parade was absolutely AMAZING! The costumes, the crowds, the energy, and of course, that spectacular finale with @thrillernyc! I had an amazing time…as always! 🔥 A huge thank you to Jorge, Todd, and the entire Thriller NYC crew for bringing Michael Jackson’s iconic THRILLER to life and making the end of this parade so unforgettable year after year!
