Gibbon Reunion I had a beautiful reunion with my long, lost love in Great Bend, Kansas this summer. Getting to see this wonderful gibbon again after 25 years was the highlight of my year. If you’re ever in the area, Brit Spaugh Zoo is a wonderful, free place with a fantastic team of caregivers. I know she and her roommate are loved by them, and by the locals who come and see them. #gibbon #primatesofinstagram #animalbond #greatbendkansas #gibbonexperience

I too have known the love that is Maggie. So glad that she is in a great place, with a companion, and that you were able to visit her.

For a time, especially from about 2016-2021 I would make the rounds through the area where Maggie and some other gibbons were housed and give them browse. And give her a back “skatch!!’ 😃

I knew Maggie for 12 years at the facility prior to Great Bend- this doesn’t just make my day, it makes my year- and beyond. I am so glad you tried to, and succeeded, in keeping up with her!!!!😭❤️😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
