As we approach the end of our summer session, resident ceramic artists came together for a beautiful woodfiring - and we were lucky enough to catch a peek at the results.

As is the nature of woodfiring, every piece tells a different story. Surfaces shift. Ash settles. Glazes respond to heat and atmosphere. Some results are anticipated; others are a complete surprise.

We’re incredibly grateful to our summer ceramic residents Kate Oggel, Jessika Edgar, Jodi Connelly, Keiko Inouye, and Donovan Palmquist for joining us this season to experiment, collaborate, and make. An added thank you for letting us share a glimpse into their process along the way. 🧡
