An update šŸ¤•

This last 3 months have easily been the hardest for me in the last decade.

After returning from our last big Asia trip excited about my healing shoulder, I’d had about 2 solid months of feeling like myself again after months of rehab and wishing I could touch the rock whilst being in my favourite places ever.

I handled the injury well considering but obviously couldn’t wait to put it behind me.

The plan on returning to the UK, was to spend the next few months getting boulder strong again, visiting a bunch of crags across the UK and preparing for our next big trip.

Unfortunately, instead I’ve spent the majority of my time in the UK watching friends climb, and trying to stay positive whilst repeating strengthening exercises on a TFCC injury in my wrist that fell apart less than a month after our return.

This IS improving, but now my back is giving me hell, I’m guessing because I’ve been injured on my left side for a year I’ve picked up some serious imbalances… so even the easiest climbing is currently out for me right now.

The plan is still, to start in South America in October… I don’t have to be climbing at my limit, but I do HAVE to be climbing, or we will have to postpone.

I’ve now posted to this page consistently for 159 weeks. It’s never been a chore and I absolutely love it, however recently it’s not the same.

I’m going to take a step back until I can actually climb again, I don’t want our content to become generic crap. I want it to be full of real psyche and right now I can’t use my psyche no matter how much I want to.

Thanks to everyone who follows along on our journey, we’ll keep showing the ups AND downs and hopefully in the near future, there will be more ups ā¤ļø

Injuries suck. I had to have almost 2 years out because of my knee. I don't climb quite as hard now as I used to but I'm glad I can still climb. Stay positive and keep doing physio etc. Also distract yourself with other things like learning an instrument etc. You got this šŸ’Ŗ
