I know, probably controversial but let me explain.

Yesterday it rained, and I felt my whole body relax. It was then I realised why I'm always so useless in summer.

Summer is far too overstimulating for my neurodivergent brain.
Summer is like having the big light on all the time (there is never a need for the big light!). It’s also too hot, too loud and too social - sensory overload!

I really like Spring.
Spring is like early morning, you've just woken up and are getting ready for the day, and “should” be feeling refreshed (I say "should” as perimenopause has somewhat robbed me of that feeling - hopefully not forever!).
Spring is full of possibilities. It’s also not too hot, not too sunny and it does actually rain.

It’s real stories like this one that help me connect to my people - the people I love hanging out with, both personally and professionally.
