The Laurent House was designed for a client in need of a home that would work WITH him. Restricted to a wheel chair and a budget of just 20k, FLW designed a sanctuary using concrete, brick and cypress. A home that not only worked with his capabilities, but gave him a sense of ease and pride. Now THAT’S what a home should be 🙌🏼

Reminds me of my house! The folklore is that two widows went to Frank lloyd wrights headquarters and purchased the plans, in 1938! So much to love!!

Work in Rockford and love that we have homes like this! I have grown up in the surrounding area and Rockford has some of the most interesting and beautiful architecture homes. There are the row houses on the west side of Rockford that are all red brick that were built for the industrial boom workers. Super neat to drive on the streets they are since they all look the same but obviously housed differently. We also have a rare Lustron home that's rented out, right down the street from my work! Not as exciting but very interesting. Glad you enjoyed yourself! ❤️

Have you ever visited Frank Lloyd Wright's house at Taliesin West in Arizona? That's very similar and I would recommend it!
