Some interviews surprise you, grabbing you by the heart. I spoke with @bella_freud about @fashionneurosis_bellafreud for @cultured_mag asking about her history in psychoanalysis, her relationship to her father and great-grandfather, dreams, and of course clothing. The title may seem hyperbolic, but you’ll find the humbling story of her stumbling into the intimacy of speaking with her interviewees lying down and her generous, protective spirit as she navigates conversations about the vulnerability of appearance, having a body, and our endless difficulties with work and love. It didn’t make it into the edit, but I loved her saying that Sigmund, up there somewhere listening and pleased, tickled her! 🪑🛏️❤️‍🔥
