We are overjoyed to share that Flying Duo won Best Narrative at Sunrise Film Festival this weekend! We absolutely adore this festival and are so grateful to their team for recognizing our film.

We were originally hoping to visit the festival in person, however last minute we were not able to do so. Instead, the Fracassantes core team were in France attending the funeral of someone we deeply love and cherish, and coincidentally was an integral part of Flying Duo’s journey.

Thank you so much to @_felipechavez for collecting the award on our behalf and for supporting us through this beautiful high in the middle of a heartbreaking low.

And the biggest thank you we can muster to the incredible Delphine Brunet, for everything. Your light, laughter and love was such a guidance through this project, and we hope we continue to feel that in all our future work.

The Speech:

We are so incredibly honoured to have our film be a part of Sunrise Film Festival. Thank you to the team of passionate organisers and volunteers who make essential events like this possible.

On this occasion, we could not be here in person. Our team is currently attending the funeral of someone very close to our hearts, and coincidentally, very close to our film.

Delphine Brunet was an integral part of Flying Duo from start to finish. Not only did she birth our writer, Emma Brunet, but she supported all of us through every stage of production.

Flying Duo is a film about leaving the home you love to create your own, and finding your dream. When Emma chose to pursue her London dream, Delphine let her little bird fly. And without that, we would never be here. So we would love to dedicate this moment to her today.

Thank you, Delphine, for everything you have done for this film, and for us. Your guidance, support, humour and love knew no bounds, and we are so grateful for everything.
