The garden is (and has been) in full swing. Plums for pickling, tomatoes for sauce and canning, black eyed peas for drying, the things we can’t can or freeze get dehydrated for later, and the flowers nurture our hearts. There’s a lot of work to living in between all the pottery and firing here. Do y’all put food by? I grew up watching @nsartorius can every season from our small garden and apple trees. I always loved it. This year’s big project is finding a recipe for water melon rind pickles that we like. Still working through that adventure. #garden #preservingfood #pickling #growtourfood #fermentation
