Pinch me. 🎭
My first foray into Shakespeare. Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Part of a Jeff Award-nominated ensemble!! Is this real life?
**The Merry Wives of Windsor**
Walking into that first rehearsal with so many legends was intimidating. But those nerves disappeared almost immediately because the kindness, encouragement and genuine care surrounding this production were real from the very beginning.
This show was so much fun, and I truly never thought I would use “fun” and “Shakespeare” in the same sentence! I learned more than I could ever put into words, laughed constantly and made memories I will carry with me for a very long time.
Playing Robin (the) Page on this stage was a dream this musical theatre kid did not even know he had. Standing there each night, surrounded by this incredible ensemble, felt a little unreal. I am so sad that it is over, but mostly, I am overwhelmed with gratitude that I got to be part of it at all.
To our incredible leaders, Director Phillip Breen and Assistant Director Laura Rook, can we just say BRILLIANT? Thank you for believing in me, challenging me and creating a space where I felt supported enough to learn, grow and have the best time doing it.
And to our wonderful stage managers, Matt, Danny and Tuesday ←also our amazing youth supervisor, thank you for steering the ship and taking such incredible care of us every step of the way.
You made me feel safe, supported and ready each time I walked onto that stage.
💛 Thank you, Jeff Committee. I am so very honored and assume you saw all the fun we had on stage too!!
Thanks Chicago Shakes for this opportunity! It is pretty awesome to work in that beautiful space day after day.
Last but certainly not least, thanks to my agents at Talent X Alexander for the constant support and for making this kid’s dreams come true.
This one will stay with me forever!
