Finished off the last race of the @valleyoffroadracingassociation season with a 🥇 in Pro Turbo, with only the shared Gold Rush race with @legacyracingassociation in October left in our 2026 race season.
We had a pretty down and dirty prep before this race. Between work and supporting our guys racing Vegas 2 Reno the week before, @dheiser11 and I didn’t get quite the prep we are used to prior to this race. Luckily we did have @liberty_mtn_fab go through the shocks and that always makes a world of difference.
With that, we ran a super conservative qualifying run to find any issues and keep the car fresh for Saturdays race while still securing a P1 class start. Lap 1 we got tangled with an NA car that cost us about 15 minutes on course, getting passed by both our other Team cars, the P2 car in our class, and a couple more. Once that got sorted, we were on a mission to make up lost time. @dheiser11 drove smart and fast, with our only issue being a burned belt at Race Mile 45 on the last lap. We ran a conservative 10 miles to the finish without swapping the belt and secured P1 by about 6 minutes.
As always we couldn’t do it without my amazing wife running the show in the pits, the bois throwing fuel, and everyone else behind the scenes making the day go smooth.
