Last week, @painterlandsisters brought me to Denver for @newtopianow, with plenty of exploring squeezed in between.
There’s still more to come from @openhousecreativefest, more events to create, and so many people, places and brands to celebrate right here in LA. But there’s also a lot of life happening in between.
Work takes me places. Events introduce me to incredible people. And everywhere I go, I find myself looking for the same things: people building something interesting, brands doing things differently, and the places that make a city feel like itself.
So while there’s plenty more flourishing to do at home, here’s a little of what I found in Denver. 💖
Finding beautiful places, thoughtful brands, and the people building them.
1. ✈️ Flourishing locally, Denver edition!
2. 💙 What brought me here: @painterlandsisters. New city, new trade show, and a very cute tote + hat to start the week.
3. 🌙 First night discovery: the perfect little street filled with vintage shops + great restaurants, under the tiniest sliver of moon.
4. 🎨 So much cool art tucked throughout Denver. This was just one of so many pieces that caught my eye while wandering around.
5. ⚾️ Found our hometown team on the road! I’ve known @dakotanderson_ for almost 10 years, and getting to be on his team now is pretty special. Truly one of those wonderful humans anyone would be lucky to work with. 💙

16. 🍯 @getsappysyrup, coconut sugar syrup! Sweet founders making their sweet dreams come true. 💛 17. 👀 Okay, but THIS is what @newtopianow actually looks like. So many brands, founders, products and conversations happening under one roof. 18 + 19. 🏎️ And after the trade show closes, Denver continues! A night out with the crew + @f1arcade. For the record, I swear I’m a much better driver IRL. 😂 20. 🧡 I brought this reminder of my network from home. This bag is from LA brand @thepotionstudio, who JUST launched at @ultabeauty (!!). I’ve known this brand for years, with a cool-ass founder @azizaelwanni who is out there getting shit doooonnneee!! 👏👏👏

11. I found @keyassnacks in Chicago and I’ll say it, Golden Ranch might be the best chip IN THE WORLD. And I’m a salty girl 🧂, so I feel qualified to make this statement. 😂 12. 🍝 Our booth neighbors @sundaysupperfoods kept us fed throughout the show. Actual angels. 🙏 13. 💕 Amazing mommas like Valeria Emanuel @malibumama_ creating brands like @rifcare to care for women everywhere. Hemp period products that are thoughtful, sustainable AND somehow this cute?! 14. 🧁 @muffitsbrand protein mini muffins I can hand my kids in the morning?! MY DREAM. 15. 🍠 @benibites Japanese sweet potatoes, reimagined. One of my absolute favorite finds of the entire show. They were SO good, the branding was 🤩, and I loved getting to meet the co-founder behind it all.

6. 🥣 And then, the reason we came: @painterlandsisters at @newtopianow! 7. 💙 Trade shows take a village. Very happy this was mine. Such a good crew making it all happen! 8. 😍 @datebetter! First discovered them at @highlowgiftshop and was so excited to see them here. Still obsessed. 9. 🥹 This one made me so happy!! I knew @drinkgoodwolf back when they were selling at @uniquemarkets in Portland, before they had distribution. Seeing a cool brand grow all the way to a national stage like this?! 👏👏👏 10. 🇹🇭 @partyofsnacks repping Thai flavors was one of my favorite discoveries! SO good, such fun branding, and such a cool new brand.
