Also, I know this isn’t the case for every one, but just sharing for those who feel guilty for not being more upset.

Of course this isn’t the life I planned. I didn’t get married and have children expecting to end up here. And don’t get me wrong, it’s still a rollercoaster. There are hard days, emotional days and moments I want to scream.

But overall? I absolutely love my life.

I wake up feeling lighter, happier and genuinely grateful for where I am. Looking back, I didn’t realise just how much I was struggling to get through everyday life. And now I feel like I’m actually living it.

I’m more present, I’m coping better, and I feel like my children are getting the happiest version of me.

It’s not always easy, and it’s certainly not what I imagined my life would look like. But I’ve come to realise that life not going to plan doesn’t necessarily mean it hasn’t worked out for the best.

I think we sometimes feel guilty admitting we’re happy when we’re in a situation that society expects us to be sad about.

But two things can be true. You can wish things had turned out differently and still be incredibly grateful for where you’ve ended up 🖤
