Lillian Aguinaga Art

We are so proud to announce that we are the VERY FIRST artists (and all women team) to put art on the walls of the Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Convention Center! We’re halfway through our mural and can’t wait to unveil the finished vision.

“Heartbeat of the Crescent,” is one of just 70 works selected through a public open call that received thousands of submissions.

Created by Lillian Aguinaga, Monica Rose Kelly, and Sasha “Swan” Kopfler, the mural is a love letter to the city we’ve spent years growing and creating in.

Congo Square is the focal point of our composition because it carries the sacred past, present, and future of cultural expression in New Orleans.

Every brushstroke has meaning and every detail has a story. Stay tuned for our progress!
