Weaving the Landscape (CDMX), 2026
185” x 18.5”
I visited Cuidad de Mexico in April and it was truly the first solo trip I had taken where I wasn’t going for a purpose or knew anyone in the city to meet up with. I was just taking in everything at my own pace and wandering the city guided by my love of architecture, being in parks, and experiencing art. I came across this building facade as I was window shopping in Roma Norte and I fell in love; the best kind of street collage. A month or so after, I heard Cecilia Vicuña talk at the Art Institute about her ethos of “weaving the landscape”, and it struck a chord with how I wanted to translate my obsession with this image/memory.
