People told me opening a studio without an established clientele was naive.

Maybe it was.

But I’ve spent most of my life believing in things I couldn’t see yet. I’ve been told what my body might not do by 40, walked away from a marriage, rebuilt from almost nothing, survived a drunk driver, and started over more than once.

Along the way, I stopped needing proof before I moved.

I learned to see the life first, then become the person capable of living it.

So when I opened AJ Skin Studio without a full book of clients, I wasn’t fearless. I just knew I’d survived bigger things than an empty appointment book.

I cleaned the room. I showed up. I kept learning, posting, and caring for every person who walked through the door.

Little by little, they kept coming.

I’m still becoming and still building, but now my name is on the door.

The proof was never waiting for me to find it.

It was waiting for me to become it. 🫶🏼
