You’re not just training for your next workout. You’re training for life.

NASM International Certified Personal Trainer @itsismailm has more than six years of experience helping people move better, get stronger, and stay active. Based in Indonesia, his work with clients navigating movement limitations and injuries has shaped his approach to prehabilitation, rehabilitation, and building a stronger foundation for training.

Together, NASM and Ismail are sharing four exercises that support strength, stability, movement control, and tissue capacity before training demands increase.

Why does that matter? Because training for longevity is about preparing your body to manage force, adapt to movement, and continue doing the activities you enjoy.

01. Single-Leg Glute Bridge
Builds unilateral hip strength while challenging pelvic control.

02. Copenhagen Plank
Develops adductor strength and lateral trunk control for lateral movement and changes of direction.

03. Single-Leg Calf Raise
Builds unilateral calf strength and develops ankle and lower-leg capacity for running, jumping, and landing.

04. Single-Leg Balance + Reach
Challenges control through the foot, ankle, knee, and hip while the center of mass moves.

These exercises are not a guarantee against injury. They are tools for developing the strength and control needed to better handle progressively greater movement demands.

Build capacity. Control movement. Progress the demand. Keep training for what life asks of you.
